Why Was It So Cold This Winter? Where's The Global Warming?

Why is it so cold when CO2 levels are increasing?

1) New Zealand has had its coldest December since the records began in 1928.

2) The 2006 average temperatures of 32.5 C in Marble bar, Australia, was the coolest annual temperature in 92 years of records...

3) Middle East Qatar is seeing some record low temperatures, too. http://www.thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display...

Why Was It So Cold This Winter? Where's The Global Warming?
Global warming is about climate change, it really is in the beginning stages and it is to early to tell how bad it will get before it swings back the other way. The earth is on a cycle of global warming and that will bring climate change around the world. Snow at the equator, hmmm maybe. Palm trees in New York City. Could be possible, but we will just have to wait and see what global warming and its resulting climate change will do. It is all just speculation now, with only one fact known and that global warming is a fact.

Reply:Maybe you should address this question to Al Gore. He seems to be the expert on things such as this (and the Internet and being a poor loser and being a hypocrite).

Also, I think they call it "global cooling due to global warming" now because that's a better fit to their propaganda.
Reply:umm because global warming is a liberal hoax to make us feel guilty so they can raise our taxes
Reply:The Northeast had the warmest November and December since 1975.

But the South was especially cold these past few months.
Reply:Global Warming isn't about temperatures rising across the board.

Its about experiencing temperature extremes, both highs and lows, exactly like the kind we experienced this year.
Reply:Here's one more fact for you....

March 16, 2007.....18 inches of snow in NE PA...

And we were only 5 days away from spring!!!

Global Warming my A**!!
Reply:We had a deep freeze last month here in Ohio and we could have used some warming!

Man-made global warming is in the imagination.
Reply:It's 5:00 somewhere in the world. Also, climate change is not a weather predictor.
Reply:You make some great observations because you also cite your references. You state, "why is it so cold when CO2 levels are increasing. Does that mean you consider that carbon dioxide is the cause of global warming?

Global warming is a complex process that is difficult to pinpoint and the temperature changes that are required to have an impact are not so drastic as you might believe.

Reading the popular media can lead a person to conclude that "global warming" is:

o- either a hoax to promote business opportunities, politicians agenda and scientists grant money.....

OR

o- a problem related to overpopulation, industrialization and fossil fuels whose solution options lie in solar power, wind power, geothermal power and nuclear fusion....

However, the main cause may be altogether different:

NASA has released never-before-seen images that show the sun's magnetic field is much more turbulent and dynamic than previously known. The international spacecraft Hinode, formerly known as Solar B, took the images. Hinode was launched Sept. 23 to study the sun's magnetic field and its explosive energy. National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists said the spacecraft's uninterrupted high-resolution observations of the sun are expected to have an impact on solar physics comparable to the Hubble Space Telescope's impact on astronomy. "For the first time, we are now able to make out tiny granules of hot gas that rise and fall in the sun's magnetized atmosphere," said Dick Fisher, director of NASA's Heliophyics Division. "These images will open a new era of study on some of the sun's processes that effect Earth, astronauts, orbiting satellites and the solar system." Hinode is a collaborative mission led by

the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and includes the European Space Agency and Britain's Particle Physics Astronomy Research

Council. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., managed the development of the Hinode's scientific instrumentation provided by industry and federal agencies.

Reply:I dont think global warming is real, I think its a tool that politicians use to rally support from more environmentally conscious people. Thats why it was so cold, the earth isnt getting warmer. The fact is weather is unpredictable and always has been, how do they explain the melt down from the ice age? There werent tons of pollutants in the air then.
Reply:Lets hear this question durning this summer when the temps.

reach record highs and many old folks are dying because of the constant extreme heat. Or is that when the Republicans go into hybernation?
Reply:The extreme cold in some areas is a affect of global warming. As weather patterns change from one extreme to another you can't expect everywhere in the world to only experience warmer temp. Such rapid changes messes with key elements such as water and wind currents which play huge parts in controlling temp. So where it may cause record highs in one region, another is likely endure the opposite. It has to go some where massive pockets of cold air i mean they don't just disappear cause everyone starting to use the word global WARMING. Just a name for the phenomenon that we are now going through.

Just as an example that global warming has alot more to do then just warming everything up. The warming of the north Atlantic current(water current) could possible cause the current to just stop flowing causing a massive change for alot North America and Europe. But instead of getting all hot we'd be looking at pre ice age conditions! So keep being so close minded just cause every where in the world isn't experiencing record highs, or look into it alittle more and know what your bashing before you do cause other wise it just looks foolish.
Reply:Good for you. This info is most needed. I knew that i hated the cold weather..Global warning...myth or real??? methinks it is mostly malarkey
Reply:You don't have a clue, do you?
Reply:You are citing mere objective evidence and facts.

The NY Times says all legitimate scientists (you know, the guys that can't explain how aspirin actually works) all agree that global warming is the truth.

Mere facts can't refute what they say.
Reply:The global average were on the rise... The better question is why is it also happening on Mars?

Now what is the force that relates both Mars and Earth?

I Love My...: Before you sound foolish, you might want to consider the number of people saved by warmer winters that would most likely offset your little rant.
