Unexpected end of input - Veritas Backup Exec w/ Windows 2000.?

We are using Veritas Backup Exec w/ Windows 2000. The past week or so our daily backup has been failing. When I check the computer in the morning I believe it is frozen. I have to unplug it to restart it. Then when it boots up I get this message.

Unexpected end of input.

81: C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup

Exec\NT\Data\BEX_NASS-BACKUP_01919.xml

Thanks a million!!

Have you tried testing the jobs within Veritas, or creating an empty job to see if it will run? Are all of your backup jobs failing, or just one?

Are you still under support contract with Veritas (though now Symantec). Your detailed error log should allow them to assist your problem. You might also grab the error code and search the Veritas/Symantec site.

Have you checked the disk space on the machine you are backing up? Most of the jobs require a certain amount of free disk space (especially an exchange backup) and will fail without it. Also, if the file you are backing up is corrupt (like a bad pub or priv file from an exchange server), it may cause an input error.
